Sharon Lee Johnson, 61, Montreal Circle, Port Orange, passed away June 13, 2006, at Hospice Center, Port Orange, after a short battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 17, 1944, in Rutland, Vt., daughter of Harrison and Virginia Mussall Taylor. She moved here in the early '90s. Survivors include three sisters, Liz Barnes, Holly Hill, Tina Fitzgerald, Daytona Beach, and Catherine Decell, Charlotte, Vt.; two brothers, Ronald and Carl Taylor, Comstock, N.Y.; longtime companion, Dan Mulligan; her dog, Buddy; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Virginia Taylor; son, William Conlin, all of Vermont; three brothers, Earl and Ted Taylor, Rutland, Vt., and Robert Taylor, Castleton, Vt., and Interlachen, Fla.; two sisters, Kathy Taylor and Joanne Farrell, Vermont; and nephew, Scott Murray, Rutland, Vt. Sharon was an avid racing fan and loved camping. She was a member of VFW American Legion and the Eagles club. She was employed as a housekeeper for Louttit Manor in Daytona Beach. She donated her body to the Medical Education and Research Institute of Memphis, Tenn. Donations may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
