Sharon Kay Davis, 63, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born April 19, 1945, in Davenport, Iowa. Sharon was united in marriage to Ferrell Davis on December 30, 1975. She had worked at the Mexican Villa Restaurant on West Sunshine, Springfield, for the last 16 years. Sharon loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrell, in 2005; her mother, Viola Losey; and sisters, Virginia Brinkley and JoAnn Losey. She is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Jack and Angela Courtney, Edgerton, Mo., and Jeff and Keri Courtney, Republic, Mo.; three grandchildren, Blake, Kade and Jace Courtney; a brother and his wife, Roger and Ann Losey, Browning, Mo.; and many other extended family and close friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Dr. Johnathan Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Brookline Cemetery, Brookline, Mo.
