Smith on June 6, 1987. Together for 25 years, they raised two children: Cody and Elizabeth Smith, both of Springfield. As a family they loved traveling and spending time with their many relatives and friends and they especially enjoyed family weekends on their boat at Table Rock Lake. Shannon received her Bachelor's degree in Education from SMSU, Masters in Education from Missouri State University, Specialists degree in Education Administration at Missouri State University, and recently earned her Doctorate of Education in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University. She enjoyed a life-long career in education, and took great pleasure helping her students learn and improve their lives. Starting out as a high school English teacher, Shannon then transitioned into administration most recently as an Assistant Principal at Kickapoo High School. Shannon is survived by her beloved husband; father, daughter, son and his fianc&#233;e, Lesley; and first grandchild, Henry on the way; brother, Sean (Megan); sister, Erin (Marvin); father and mother-in-law, Frank and Georgia Smith; brothers-in-law, Randy (Amy) and Darrel Smith; along with numerous other relatives and friends.Memorial services will be held at 4 pm, Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
