Sarah Frances Solesbee Smith, 77, of 202 Calina Heights, died Oct. 23, 2003, at B.J. Workman Hospital.A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Thomas Henry Solesbee Sr. and Lillian Atkins Solesbee. She was a retired employee of Service America and was a member of Apalache United Methodist Church.Surviving are her husband, Isom John Earl Smith, of the home; a brother, Thomas H. "Bud" Solesbee, and wife, Mary Ellen, of Greer; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Howard, and husband Alton, of Greer, Mrs. Effie Nadeau, and husband, Norman, of Greenville, and Mrs. Cecile Pittman, and husband Ed, of Greer; and many loving nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Bob Vehorn and the Rev. Tommy Harvey. Visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary.Memorials may be made to Apalache United Methodist Church, 633 Taylor Road, Greer, SC 29651.
