She was born in Mayo, Florida.After high school she attended school in Jacksonville, FL to become a hair dresser. After moving to Pensacola she met the love of her life, James, and in May they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.During Sarah's career she owned Terrace Beauty Salon and D'Orr Hair Designs.Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Buchanan and Eula Folsom; brothers, Frank Folsom, Buck Folsom, Jr., Delano Folsom; sisters Mary Wilds and Dorothy Folsom; step granddaughter Lisa Powell.Sarah is survived by her loving husband James, daughter Cynthia (Edward) Mills; granddaughter Lindsey Mills, sister Maxine (Walter) Newlan; stepson Kenneth (Mary) Powell, step grandchildren Pam (Don) Sales and Kenny Wayne (Stephanie) Powell and many nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be held at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida on October 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 6479 Caroline Street, Suite B, Milton, Florida 32570.A very special thank you to the nursing staff and caregivers in Building D at Homestead Village.Express your condolences in our guestbook at pnj.com/obits
