Sarah (Rita) M. Jackson, 103, died peacefully on August 4 at the Weymouth Health Care Center. She was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 12, 1909. Sarah spent her early years in Cambridge, MA before taking up residence in New York. As a very successful business woman, she owned her own catering business in the 40s and 50s and was a woman of many talents. She was the wife of the late George Jackson where the resided in New York for many years. Rita was the sister of the late Eunice Brown, Hilda Sport, Jeannette Turner and Pauline Haynes. She is survived by her nephew, Lawrence A. Turner and his wife Juanita of Weymouth and several great nieces and nephews, Paul Turner, Eric Turner, Pamela Turner and Patricia Hawkins. A private funeral service will be held on August 25 at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq), So. Weymouth.
