Sarah (Sally) L. (McBride, Miller) Dale formerly of Owego Sally Dale, age 90, formerly of Owego, NY went "HOME" to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, Wednesday May 26, 2010 while sleeping at her home in Deming, New Mexico. Sally was a very active church member. She taught Sunday School and held offices at Alpha Baptist Church for many years. Sally was loved by anyone and everyone who knew her and her loving smile. She loved her Lord, Jesus, cooking, baking, gardening, all of nature, her many pets and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but joyful in knowing that she is with Jesus and rejoicing. While living in Owego, Sally was employed by J.J. Newberry's, Endicott Johnson Shoes, and co-owner and operator of "My Mother's Fruitstand" on Upper North Avenue. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, of 38 years; five children, Paul (Skip) O. Miller Jr. and wife, Lorena, Trumansburg, NY; Mary Ann Brower, Dacono, CO; Ronald C. Miller and wife, Jacque, Raleigh, NC; Fayetta Waxman and husband, Wayne, Owego, NY; James W. Miller, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; six step-children, Patty Hazzard, New Hampshire; Elwin Dale and wife, Rose, New Hampshire; Judy Downing and husband, Jim, New Hampshire; Robert Dale, MA; Edie Simon, OH; Robert Hoose and wife, Ester, Preble, NY; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis McBride; mother, Helen McBride (Barnett); one brother, James and two sisters, Helen Sauerbrey and Mary Catherine McBride. Also preceded her in death, Paul O. Miller Sr.; father of her children. There will be a Memorial Service held in Deming, NM and a family celebration of her life at a later date in New York and New Hampshire. Contributions can be donated to a charity of your choice in Sally's memory.
