Funeral service for Sarah Hughes, 80, of White Plains, will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Rev. Chuck E. Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Monday. Mrs. Hughes died Saturday at her residence. Mrs. Hughes attended Faith Temple Christian Center in Jacksonville for many years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many. She loved Jesus Christ with her whole heart and showed His love in the many good deeds she did for others. Her body is in the ground, BUT her spirit is with her Saviour and Deliverer, Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Enoch L. Hughes; her parents, Aubra and Lola Houck; a brother, Fred H. Houck and a brother-in-law, Rev. Charles E. Graham. Survivors include her three sons, Ronald E. Hughes, Michael W. Hughes and Terry A. Hughes; four grandchildren, Stephanie A. Fortenberry, Erin L. Hughes, Christopher E. Hughes, and Joshua C. Hughes; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Josephine Graham and Peggy Dothard and husband, Larry and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be members of the family and friends.
