Bogart - Sara Irene Johnson, 80, died Monday, November 17, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21, 2008 at 10AM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Rob Bray officiating. Burial will follow in Oconee Memorial Park. A native of Walton County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Jackson and Levy Davis Peters. She was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church and a seamstress all of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Choyce A. Johnson; sons: Mark Anthony Johnson of Hoschton, Stanley Maurice Johnson of Oxford; daughters: Jeannine Media of Punta Gorda, Fla., Denise Ogletree of Bogart; sisters: Shirley Cooper of Statham, Ruby Word of Gainesville, Ga.; brothers: Charles Peters of Washington, Ga., Jimmy Peters of Watkinsville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethabara Baptist Church, 4651 Monroe Hwy., Statham, GA 30666. Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
