Services for Sara Frances Maitland Carter 77 will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 3 2004 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Philip Jett and Dr. Larry Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Carter died Thursday July 1 2004 at her residence. A native of Humboldt TN she was the daughter of the late Charles James 'Tobe' and Bertha Mae Clark Maitland. She along with her husband were the owners and operators of David Carter Furniture Company. She was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband David N. Carter Sr.; two sons David N. Carter Jr. and wife Cheryl and Keith A. Carter; four daughters Donna Carter Hodge and husband Victor Pam Carter Betler and husband Larry Paula Carter Yates and husband Greg Kem Carter Cobb and husband Owen.
