JONESVILLE, SC-- Sara Blake Mazyck Anderson, of 500 Pacolet Street, died Thursday, January 18, 2007, at her home. A native of Jonesville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Paul deLisle and Christine Littlejohn Mazyck. She was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Womans College, Lynchburg, VA, and studied at the Nacional Universidad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. She did post-graduate work at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.Mrs. Anderson lived in Columbia where she was active in civic, educational, cultural, and religious affairs for thirty-five years. A former member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, she served as president, secretary, and parliamentarian of the Women of the Church, Sunday School teacher, and on various church committees. She had been a member of the Columbia Committee of the Colonial Dames of America in South Carolina, the Junior League of Columbia, the Columbia Garden Club, and the William Capers Chapter of the DAR. She was a life member of the Huguenot Society, the South Caroliniana Society, the Evening Music Club, the Historical Columbia Foundation, and the Garden Club of South Carolina, serving on its board for several years. At the time of her death she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Spartanburg, and the Spartanburg Committee of the Colonial Dames.Survivors include her husband, J. Macfie Anderson; a son, Macfie Anderson, III of Atlanta; and a daughter, Christine Broughton Anderson of Northhampton, MA.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. J. Lawrence Bates. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Parlor.Memorials may be made to the Boys Farm, Inc., P. O.
