-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Allen, Sara BethGroton: Sara Beth Allen, 36, passed away after a hard fought battle with breast cancer on February 25, 2015 at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca. She was a 1996 Graduate of Groton Central School where she met Jason, her husband of 15 years. Sara was accomplished in soccer, basketball and softball. Post high school, she attended TC3 where she studied Early Childhood Education and was a captain for the soccer team. Following TC3, she attended SUNY Cortland and obtained a Bachelors in Education. Sara worked for SUNY Cortland's daycare facility and then at Groton Central School as a teacher aide. Through her work, Sara was always able to light up the classroom with her positive spirit and beautiful smile. During her time at the school, she touched many lives and impacted many of the youth. In 1999, Sara gave birth to Jaedyn, and in 2005 triplets, Elisa, Isaac and Kate. Her focus on academic and athletic hard work combined with the ability to laugh and enjoy life has been firmly transferred to all four of her beautiful children. While forced to quit working, her positive attitude through her illness continued to inspire the school and community and the slogan of her battle "Sara Strong" was evident throughout Groton. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Glenn Munson and paternal grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Ellis. Sara is survived by her husband, Jason; children, Jaedyn, Elisa, Isaac and Kate; mother, Gail Munson; father, Robert Ellis Jr. (Wendy Martin); sister, Jessica Sheedy (David Sheedy); brother, Mike Toolan (Alan Moffit); grandmother, Virginia Munson; mother-in-law, Jannene Allen; father-in-law, Dennis Allen; sister-in-law, Shannon Allen (Bill Francis); and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Garbo, Jennifer Fuller and the wonderful staff of Cayuga Hematology Oncology Associates, Cayuga Medical Center, and Hospicare & Palliative Care Services of Tompkins County for their support and efforts in caring for Sara throughout her battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held on March 8, 2015 at LakeWatch Inn, 1636 E. Shore Drive, Ithaca NY from 12-5pm with a formal ceremony beginning at 1:30pm.
