Lexington - Sara Allene Todd, age 92, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Todd was born in Oglethorpe County on July 29, 1914 to the late Frank and Allie Patton Matthews. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Todd, and a daughter, Phyllis Todd Huff. She was retired from the Oglethorpe School Systems after thirty-six years of service in the lunchroom. She was a member of Lexington Baptist Church and lived in Oglethorpe County all her life.Mrs. Todd is survived by a daughter, Charlene (Edward) Barnes of Lexington; a sister, Ruby Andrews of Lexington; a brother, Frank Mathews of Lake City, Florida; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lord and Stephens-Oglethorpe with the Rev. Jim Waller officiating. Visitation will be Today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.Lord and Stephens, Oglethorpe, is in charge of arrangements.
