MOUNDVILLE Sandra M. Davis, age 51, of Moundville, died November 12, 2007, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today, November 14, 2007, at Oakhill Cemetery located on Highway 69 South in Moundville with Rev. Brent Roe officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.Sandra was the daughter of the late Harold McCray and Carolyn McCray Powell of Greensboro, Alabama. She graduated from Southern Academy in 1975 and received her LPN and RN nursing degrees from Shelton State in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Sandra cared for patients in Druid City Hospital and the Tuscaloosa County Health Department. Survivors include her husband, Keith Davis; son, Christopher Colson; stepson, Nicholas Davis; mother, Carolyn McCray Powell and her husband Larry Powell of Greensboro and Pike Road, Alabama; sisters, Cynthia McCray Looney (John) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Malinda McCray Adams (Steve) of Atlanta, Georgia; niece, Allie Carr Looney of Birmingham; aunts, Ruby Arrington and Inez Thomas (Jimmie) of Greensboro, Alabama; and uncle, Bobby Syring (Ann) of Pascagoula, Mississippi. She is also survived by her mother and father in-law, J.B. and Betty Davis; sisters-in-law, Beverly Davis of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Karen Hudson (Dan) of Alabaster, Alabama; brother-in-law, Brod Davis (Regina) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; nieces and nephews, Mandi and Katie Gant of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, John and Lindsey Davis of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Lucas and Leah Hudson of Alabaster, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Lanier Jones, Jimmy Dunn, Lennon Thomas, Broderick Davis, Larry Jones, Justin Ray, and Randy Freeman.Honorary pallbearers are the Cancer Center physicians and nurses, and friends and family of Big Sandy Baptist Church.
