Samantha Lucy Brown July 05, 1992 - March 04, 2007 Samantha Lucy Brown was born July 5, 1992 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba and passed away on March 4, 2007 at Selkirk General Hospital, Selkirk, Manitoba. She walks into the spirit-world after 14 winters here on Mother Earth. Samantha was a gift of love and laughter to her family. She loved going to pow-wows and spending time with her family and friends. She was a jingle dress dancer and a fancy shawl dancer. Samantha was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Eugene & Lucy Brown (nee Hunter), of Manitou Rapids, Ontario, her maternal grandparents, Norman & Kathleen Bruce (nee Robinson) of Poplar River, Manitoba, great-grand parents, Albert, Sr., & Bella Hunter & Ben Brown, Sr., of Manitou Rapids and great-grandparents, Sandy & Mrs. Robinson of Dauphin River, Manitoba. To cherish her memory and to honour her in life, are her parents, Ernest & Rebekah Brown, siblings, Shannon Bruce, Amy Bruce, Ernest Brown Jr., & Amanda Brown. She is also survived by Grandma Elizabeth Brown of Manitou Rapids, Ontario, nephew, Kody Goulet and niece, Hannah Bruce & her many uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends. A Prayer Service was held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Kateri Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A wake will be held at Poplar River First Nation, Wednesday & Thursday March 7&8th with the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2007. Interment to follow in the Poplar River Cemetery. The family would like to sincerely thank Father Rheal Forest for conducting the service for Samantha’s journey to the Creator’s spirit-world.
