-->Blondie Williams GREER, SC-- Sallie Mae "Blondie" Evans Williams, 80, of 21 10th Street, died Monday, March 2, 2009. A native of Laurens County, she was the daughter of the Late Lester and Mattie Evans and the widow of the late James Williams Sr. She was a founding member of Ridgeview United Church where she served as Secretary and Treasurer. Mrs. Williams worked in textiles. Survivors include her son, James "Dub" Williams of Greer; three daughters, Jewell Howard and Sandra Parris, both of Greer and Portia Hood of Lyman; two brothers, Edward Johnson of Simpsonville and Joe Canupp of Greenville. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Bryon, Shana, Jennifer and Logan; and a great-granddaughter, Annamarie. Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Ridgeview United Church, with Rev. Danny Cox officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Stribling Funeral Home. Interment will be at Wood Memorial Park. Memorial may be made to Ridgeview United Church, 13 East Pine Street, Duncan, SC 29334. The family is at the home of a daughter Sandra Parris, 387 Gail Ave, Greer.
