Sadie Jane Turner Smith - Savannah -Sadie Jane Turner Smith, 77, of Savannah, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 at Candler Hospital. She was born in Clinch County, Ga., and was preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Smith. She was a member of Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of Alee Temple, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hillbilly Unit of Alee Temple. She is survived by a son, Johnny J. Smith (Tongok), Savannah, Ga; 2 daughters, Jane Ann Gandy (Vernon L.)of Savannah, Ga., and Debra Lou Murray (Melvin A), Mobile, Ala; 2 brothers, Jimmy Turner(Iona) of Homerville, Ga., and Charolton Turner (Marilyn) of Richmond Hill, Ga; a sister, Sherma Rea Smith, Savannah, Ga; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at Fairhaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Moses Toole, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest West Cemetery. Mrs. Smith will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday to lie in state. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Sean Gandy, Lance Smith, Anthony Murray, Scott Smith, Garrett Wade, and Alan Mathews.
