Of Tarrytown, NY, died Sunday, November 25, 2001 at age 87. She was born in New York City on December 19, 1913 to Herbert John Rose and Anna Rose (nee Gunn). After her mother died in 1915, her father married Bridget Gunn who raised Suzanne from very early childhood. She moved with her family to the Pennybridge section of Tarrytown prior to 1918 where her father was employed as the butler on the Browning estate. She was graduated from the Pennybridge School (Irving Grammar School) in 1928 and then from Irvington High School in 1932. She continued her studies at the Gaines School of Business Administration and Secretarial Practice in New York City from which she graduated in 1933. Suzanne was employed for many years in New York City at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. On March 10, 1951, she married James V. Williams in the Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown. She joined her husband in his business, Franklin Auto Glass, as a bookkeeper and continued in that role after his death in 1976 until she retired in 1988. She was a member of the Transfiguration Senior Club. She is survived by her brother Herbert J. Rose of Stone Harbor, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Katherine R. Herguth of Tarrytown. She is remembered as a quiet and kind person who enjoyed the companionship of her family and found great pleasure caring for her pet cats. Visitation will be at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME, on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Her funeral mass will be at Transfiguration Church on Thursday, at 10 am. Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o Transfiguration Church, 268 S.
