DAVIS, SUE LANCASTER HILTON, 79, of Windermere, FL passed away peacefully on March 1, 2003. She was born on September 27, 1923 in Memphis, TN the daughter of Daisy and Henry Lancaster. She was raised in Memphis and attended Purdue University where she met her beloved husband, John Hilton III. John and Sue were married 25 years until his death. After John's death, Sue married Charles C. Davis of Memphis. Sue and Charlie were married until his death in 1998. Sue was a founding and long time member of Holy Communion Episcopal Church. Her deceased husband, Charlie was a Charter member of Chickasaw Country Club. Sue moved to Windermere in 1999 to be with her daughter's family. She loved movies, books, cross-stitching, planning meals and gardens for her family. She is survived by her brother, Jack Lancaster of Rosemont, TN; her son and daughter-in-law, John Hilton IV and Cynthia Hilton of Independence, MO; by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne Hilton Miller and Michael Studley of Windermere, FL; her granddaughter of Shawnee, KS, Tara Leigh Hilton Baker and her husband, Anson Baker, her granddaughters of Windermere, FL, Stacey Leigh Miller, Shayna Jo Miller and Allison Hilton Miller. She is also survived by her great-grandson, Devin Miller of Windermere, FL. A gathering will be held in remembrance of Sue at the home of Suzanne Miller and Michael Studley in Windermere on Friday evening, March 7, 2003 from 7-9PM. The graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2003 2PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN.
