CARTER, SHARON KAYE - age 58 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home. She was a loving wife of 34 years and was the best Mom to 4 kids. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herbert Ward and Mildred Ward Clabo, William Stanley and Clara Mae Dunn; mother-in-law, Edith Carter; grandchildren, Ezra Carter and Daniel French. She is survived by her loving husband, David "Phillip" Carter; parents, Lawrence Gene and Audrey Faye Ward; children, Travis Carter and wife Greta, Candice George and husband Chuck, Shane Carter, and Missy Carter; grandchildren, Elijah, Jessie, Austin, Bryson, Alexis, Cayden, Jamie, Kelsey, Dale, Phillip, Regina, Whitney and Kaitlyn; twin sister, Sandra Richards and husband Frankie; brother, Doug Ward and wife Dona; father-in-law, Joseph Carter, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Larry Carter and wife Pam, Jerry Carter, Joseph Carter, Jr. and wife Brenda; sister-in-law, Teresa Carter; her two dogs, Peanut and Chico; her cat, "Crooked Tail"; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Highland South Funeral Home with funeral services following at 8:00 P.M. with Rev. Roger Britton and Rev. Rodney Duncan officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Funeral Home Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. to go in procession for a 1:30 P.M. graveside service at the East TN Veteran's Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy.
