ANDERSON-GOLD--Sharon, passed away on September 26th after a long illness. She is survived, by her devoted husband Howard, sons Jason Harris Gold and Jordan Benjamin Gold, and daughter-in-law Hyunchu Kim Gold, RN. Sharon graduated from East Hartford Catholic High School and earned a bachelor of science degree from Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT; and master's degrees in political science and philosophy as well as a doctoral degree in philosophy from The New School for Social Research, New York, NY. She was professor and chair of the Science and Technology Studies Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. As a scholar, Sharon specialized in applied ethics and social and political philosophy. Several of her published works focused on international justice and human rights, including her book Cosmopolitanism and Human Rights. Service Saturday, October 1st, 3pm at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Avenue at 81st Street. Interment private. The family will receive friends at their home in New York City, Saturday 6-9:30pm.
