WEEKS, SARAH ELLEN, 93Gainesville - Sarah Ellen Weeks, age 93 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2014, with family and friends by her side, at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center. She was born in Winter Haven, FL on July 16, 1920, and was a graduate of Alachua High School in Alachua, FL. Mrs. Weeks is survived by her sister, Francis Dicks, four sons, James H. Weeks of Newberry, FL, Robert L. Weeks of Gainesville, FL, Woodrow W. Weeks of Olympia, WA, and Preston Weeks of South Florida, one daughter, Nina Hazel Weeks of Waldo, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Monroe Weeks and a son, Calvin Monroe Weeks. Sarah was the beloved grandmother of 15 grandchildren and a growing number of great grandchildren. She is also survived by her church family at North Central Baptist Church of Gainesville, where she has been a member for over 50 years. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Jonesville Baptist Church 17722 SW 15th Avenue Newberry, FL 32669.
