Sally Martin Flynn, 94, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010. Sally was a forty year resident of Pelham Manor, NY. and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She was born in Albany, NY on November 6, 1915 to Francis and Mary Elizabeth Martin. Sally was predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years, Edward F. Flynn. She is survived by her daughters, Claudia F. Gasparini (Francis) of Irvington, NY and Betsy F. Hollo (Thomas) of Morristown, NJ. Also surviving is her grandson Peter F. Gasparini, of Irvington, NY. Sally was a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Name High School in Albany, NY. She received her degree in music from the College of St. Rose, Albany, NY. Her initial career was performing as a concert pianist with Jose Iturbi and she also did stage work with Charles Coburn. In the early days of radio and television she was an on-the-air commercial announcer. Sally was a Member of the Manor Club (Pelham Manor, NY) and she also chaired the drama section and was a member of the board. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, September 6, 48PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM, Tuesday, September 7 at Immaculate Conception Church, Irvington, NY. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
