Rutha Mae Mays Smith MONTICELLO - Rutha Mae Mays "Ruthie" Smith, 59, a retired bookkeeper, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, in Tallahassee. The service will be at 1 p.m. EST Saturday at Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello, with burial at Turkey Scratch Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 7:30 p.m. EST Friday at Tillman Funeral Home in Monticello (850-997-5553).A native of Monticello, Mrs. Smith was member of Salem AME Church in Monticello. Ruthie leaves to cherish her loving memories her son, Michael Theary Mays (and wife Janette Lovejoy and their sons, Rashawn Lovejoy, Michael "Mike Mike" Mays, both of Thomasville, Ga., and Chris Speed of Monticello); her daughter, Tomeka Smith Billingley (and husband Darryl and their two daughters, Tajah and Misha Billingley) of Pittsburg, Pa.; her six brothers, West Jackson of Hollywood, Johnny "Jody" Mays (and wife Hattie) of the St. Phillip community, Henry Mays (and wife Daisy) of Tallahassee, Ben Mays (and wife Veleta Moore) and Saul Mays (and his friend, Dessie Jones) and Clarence Mays (and wife Vickie Crim), all of Monticello; and her three sisters, Elizabeth "Liz" Jones (and husband Rufus) and Evelyn "El" Thompson, both of Monticello, and Renese Jones (and husband Michael) of Tallahassee.
