Ruth Ward Bryant Macon, GA- Ruth Bryant, 92, of Macon, died Friday at Northside Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Odum officiating with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hardison Baptist Church, 13845 Hwy 42, Byron, GA 31008. Mrs. Bryant was born in Warm Springs, Georgia but had lived all her life in the Macon, Byron area. She was the daughter of the late William and Alma Ward and was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bryant. Mrs. Bryant was retired from the Bibb County Board of Education where she worked for many years as a dietician for Agnes Barden Elementary School. She also worked for 9 years with Dr. Ruth Cheeves at T.D. Tinsley School for Special Education. Mrs. Bryant was a member of Hardison Baptist Church in Byron, the Happy Hearts Senior Citizens Club, and the Joy Class. Survivors include her sons, Charles F. Bryant of Macon, William W. Bryant of Hiawassee, GA and Russell O. Bryant of Fernandina Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer Bryant, Allison Rickman, Blake Bryant, and Tyler Bryant; five great grandchildren, Wes and Emma Bryant, Evy and Carr Rickman, and Anna Bryant; brothers, Billy Ward of Albany, Jimmy Ward of Hiawassee, GA, and Rupert Ward of Spartanburg, SC; and sister, Lucille W.
