April 25, 2007 Ruth W. Smith, 85, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday at Francis House. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Central High School in 1939. She had formerly been employed by the National Youth Administration, Pomeroy Organization and the Metropolitan Milk Producers Bargaining Agency. She was also a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. She was a loving wife to her husband, Ralph who died in 2001. Survived by her son, Daniel R. Smith of Syracuse; daughter, Margaret (George) DeLorenzo of Syracuse; and two grandchildren, Rocco and Luke DeLorenzo. Funeral services are Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street. Contributions may be made to Francis House. Frasier-Shepardson 471-2349
