MILLER, Ruth Reed 83, of Clearwater, formerly of Greenbelt, MD, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday Nov. 24, 2013. Of all of her accomplishments, Ruth's greatest achievements have been with her family. Her love, strength and wisdom will never be forgotten. She was our rock and our hearts are heavy. She leaves all of her children and grandchildren with the knowledge, they are truly loved and they know that she loved the Lord. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh M. Miller Jr; parents, William and Edna (Scaggs) Rawlings; and brothers, Maurice and Lee Rawlings. She is survived by 3 daughters, Linda (Temple Zito) Dredger, Jo Anne (James) Streitmatter and Dawn (Stephen) Tate; 5 granddaughters, Dawn (James) Arnold, Angela Bragg, Kelly (Luther) Moore, Lauren Parker and Dana (Ross) Pinney; grandson, Stephen Reed Tate; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until time of services.
