PIERCE, Ruth Age 81, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Ruth was born on May 1, 1929 in Corning, NY, daughter of the late Victor and Louise (Priest) Bentley. Ruth was an avid bingo player and loved to crochet. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed dearly. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Clifford Pierce Sr. in 2004. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Linda Pierce of Troy, PA, Clifford and Lori Pierce Jr. of Elmira Heights, NY; grandchildren, Laura, Clifford III, Nathan and Kaylee; sisters, Nora Bixby and Lola Byam, both of Greene, NY; brother, Frank Bentley of Lakeland, FL. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 3 to 4 P.M. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 4 P.M. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
