Ruth P. Turner, 89, Palmetto, died Dec. 20, 2005, at Braden River Care Center in Bradenton. She was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Columbia County and lived in Manatee County most of her life. She was a grader with Tropicana. She was a Baptist. Survivors include daughters Sheila Carlson of Powell, Tenn., Maxine Clements of Bradenton and Lulubelle Pena of Palmetto; a sister, Ruby Johns of Palmetto; and a grandchild. No visitation is planned. Private memorial services will be later. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel, is in charge.
