GREENFIELD CENTER - Ruth Mary Haviland Harrington of Greenfield Center died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. She was 76.Born Sept. 30, 1936, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Fred Haviland and Eva Mabb Haviland.Mrs. Harrington was married to the late Lawrence Harrington Sr., who passed away March 18, 1966.She worked for many years as a home health aide, working with elderly and homebound individuals for Home Instead in Clifton Park, along with private-duty services.Ruth volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels in the Saratoga Springs area. She was a member of both the Wilton and Greenfield Center Seniors, with which she most enjoyed taking bus trips with her sister, Veronica, and favorite brother-in-law, Richard. My two favorite guys, Al and Jim, who loved to kid around and also take it. Al, I will not save a seat next to me.
