(MacDonald) R.N. Peacefully with dignity and with her family at her side, at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday, March 25, 2001. Beloved wife of the late Vincent L. Patton. Dearest mother of Donald (Christine Bell), Lynn (John Douglas), Susan (Jim Fitz-Morris) and Kerry (Normand Lafleur). Also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ruth spent her life working for the well being of others, including many years as a nurse at St. Mary's and the Lakeshore General, and also as a volunteer and supporter of Birthright. Visitation at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd., on Monday, March 26 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Veronica's Church, 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval on Tuesday, March 27 at 11 a.m. Interment at Cote-des-Neiges Cemetery. Donations to Birthright Montreal (4100 St. Antoine West, Montreal) or St. Mary's Hospital would be appreciated. Thank you Mom for the values you and Dad instilled in us.
