Ruth Aytes Lee, 93, departed this life on May 15.She was a devoted Christian wife and mother who loved the Lord and loved attending Bethel Grace Free Will Baptist Church until her health prevented her from going.She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clarence Lee; and grandson, Ross Barnett.She is survived by her son, Ivan Lee and wife, Valarie, of Lancing; daughters, Juanita Jean Adams and husband, Dennis, of Crossville, and Marjorie Barnett and husband, Nolen, of Lancing; grandchildren, Eugene Adams, Krista Lammel, Samuel Lee, Amanda Lee and Ricky Barnett.She has nine great-grandchildren, including one special great-granddaughter, Carol Barnett, who has been a companion and helped with her care during her illness; one sister, Roberta Wampler, of Kingston; and sisters-in-law, Mable Lee, Jolene Aytes and Ina Heidel.Pall bearers are grandsons, Ricky Barnett, Eugene Adams, Samuel Lee, Marshell Lammel; and nephews, Gary Aytes and William David Aytes.The family received friends on May 17 from 5-7 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Taylor and the Rev. Doyle Nance officiating.
