DOVER — Ruth M. Kimball, 91, formerly of Country Club Estates, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at her son's home in Gardner, Maine.Born in Quincy, Mass., May 15, 1918, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Michael) Bissett. She was a graduate of Quincy High School and Bridgewater State Teachers College. She was a teacher for a couple of years prior to marrying the love of her life, Raymond Kimball. She was a former resident of Wheaton, Ill., prior to coming to Dover 30 years ago. While living in Illinois, she was an active volunteer in the Chicago area particularly with the Infant Welfare Group.The Christmas season was her favorite time of the year and she enjoyed family gatherings was an avid bridge player and in her retirement she enjoyed gardening and traveling.She was a member of the First Parish Church, Congregational.The widow of Raymond B. Kimball, who died June 14, 2009, she is survived by a son, Russell B. Kimball and wife, Sandra, of South Gardner, Maine; three daughters, Ranae Cate and husband, Daniel, of North Aurora, Ill., Janet K. Kelewae and husband, Gene, of North Berwick, Maine, Nancy R. Gianino and husband, Nat, of Berlin; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Lillian Bissett, Florence B.
