-> Bloomingdale - Mrs. Ruth Irene Smith, 82, died on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital. The Tennessee native had lived in Bloomingdale for many years. She was a member of the Ash Street Baptist Church where she was a member of the Seniors Group. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Smith. Survivors include her children, Bobby Smith of Springfield, Billy R. Smith of Riceboro, Sandy K. Dowd of Ellabell and Debbie Ann Oetgen of Bloomingdale; brother, Ray McDonald of Pontiac, MI; sisters, Mazelle Norris of Jamestown, TN and Wilma McDonald of Alpine, TN; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral: 1 p.m. on Monday at Ash Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith will lie in state from 12-1 p.m. at the Church. Interment: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery. Remembrances may be given to Moss Oaks Nursing Home. Thomas C.
