Ruth E. Wheeler, 85, died March 29, 2009, at Palm Gardens Nursing Home, Vero Beach. She was born in Erie, Pa. and lived in Vero Beach for more than 20 years, coming from North East, Pa. Before retirement, she worked for General Electric Co. as a payroll and accounting clerk for 38 years, in Erie, Pa. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Survivors include her sisters, Nettie M. Randall of Erie, Pa., and Mary Morton of Edgewater. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Barnhart and Joanne Wood. SERVICES: A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. April 4 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
