Ruth Elizabeth Mitchell, 80, of Russellville, Ala., died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Birmingham but had lived in Russellville for the past three years. She was a member of the Baptist church. She was retired from Elberta Liquidation Business.The funeral will be at noon Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at Cherry Hill Baptist Church, with Brother Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Hill Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russell-ville.Survivors include her son, Charles Norman Mitchell, Russell-ville, Ala.; daughters, Norma Benefield, Phil Campbell, Ala., Nellie Riley, Russellville, Ala.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Mitchell, and grandson, Timothy Yocom.Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
