Ruth E. Foster, 95 FREEPORT -- Ruth E. Foster, 95, of Freeport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at a Brunswick hospital with her family by her side. She was born on Aug. 20, 1914, in Roxbury, Vt., the tenth child of Walter and Lillian (Farrar) Fullam. She graduated from Randolph (Vermont) High School in 1932. She married Auldis E. Foster on Oct. 18, 1941, and moved to Freeport. She worked on the school lunch program while her children were small and, later, retired after 12 years as the assistant librarian at the B. H. Bartol Library in Freeport. She volunteered for the Freeport Community Services thrift shop for many years during retirement. She and her husband enjoyed their cottage on Little Sebago and traveling around the United States. She was predeceased by her husband, Auldis, on Dec. 18, 1990. She is survived by her son, Peter E. Foster and his wife Linda, of Freeport, her daughter, Judith G. Jones of Freeport; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. No services will be held.
