Ruth Settles Coleman, 95, of 450 Crosby Circle, formerly of Piedmont, S.C., died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Anderson Area Medical Hospital in Anderson, S.C. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at St. Matthew Baptist Church on Old Pelzer Road in Piedmont. Visitation will be today, Aug. 11, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at E.S. & L.D. Webb Chapel, 552 West Washington St.Born in Beech Island, S.C., to the late Wesley "Pump" and Lititia Price Settles. She was married to the late Henry W. Coleman. She was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Piedmont where she was active until her health declined. One daughter, Betty Ruth Anderson, predeceased her.Surviving are two daughters, Robin Jean Coleman-Seward (O'Neal) and Toni Coleman-Auston (Hardy); five grandchildren, Charlese O'Nesya Seward of Columbia, Roslyn Janine Seward of Charleston, C. O'Neal Seward II of Columbia, H. Drayton Auston and Robert H. Auston of the home; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
