BRYANT Ruth Chase Bryant from Jacksonville, FL, 90, died on Saturday, April 12 at Lorien Assisted Living Residence in Mt. Airy, MD. She was the beloved mother of Mary Ann Russo of Mt. Airy, MD, Gloria Simonds of Durham, NC, and Bill L. Bryant, Jr., of Tallahassee, FL and sister of Raymond Chase of Tampa, FL, grandmother to eleven grandchildren and great grandmother to twelve children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bill L. Bryant, Sr. in 2001 and by her brother Austin and sisters Dorothy Stewart and Esther McLachlan. She had been a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Gaithersburg, MD, where she was active in the Fifty Plus Club and most recently, of St. Michaels Church in Mt. Airy, MD, where she was active in the Lorien Bible Study. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 10:00 AM. In Jacksonville, the viewing will be at 12:30 PM, Thursday, April 17, 2003 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave. Graveside service and interment will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 17, 2003 at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
