Ruth Carroll of Owego Ruth Carroll, of Owego, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at home. Ruth was born June 2, 1936 in Binghamton, N.Y. She was a 1954 graduate of Binghamton North High School. She married Ronald Carroll on November 3, 1956, and took great joy in raising her four children. Mrs. Carroll was predeceased by her sister, Mary Salmi. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ronald; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Scott Burkholder, Georgia; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Pier and Anita Carroll, Maryland, Scott Carroll, Arizona, Ronald and Kolleen Carroll, Pennsylvania; her eight most precious grandchildren, Katie, Abby, David, Sheena, Bethany, Joey, Dylan and Kiah; sister-in-law, Frances Carroll, Endicott; brother-in-law, Richard and his wife, Jackie Carroll, West Windsor; several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, with the Rev. William Puckey officiating. Burial will be in the Brookville Cemetery, Binghamton, N.Y. There will be no calling hours. The family wishes to extend their grateful thanks to Dr. Joseph Readling and staff of Broome Oncology for 10 years of kind and compassionate care.
