Ruth Carlton Hall, 92     PORTLAND -- Ruth Carlton Hall, 92, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006.     She was born July 9, 1914, in Boston, a daughter of Frederick A. and Alice Hanscom Carlton.     Ruth attended Arlington, Mass. Schools, graduating from Arlington High School in 1932. In 1934, she graduated from Colby Junior College. After college she worked as a secretary to the President of Pine Manor College. On Dec. 27, 1938, she married Ledgard M. Hall. The couple lived in Wellesley, Mass., until 1988, when they moved to Maine. Mr. Hall died on April 17, 2001.     Ruth was an extraordinarily loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a true blessing in the care of her granddaughter who has special needs.     She is survived by her daughter Nancy Hall Murray and her husband Robert of Falmouth; one granddaughter, Mariya Roberts-Hall; three step-grandchildren, Mistyn Murray, Aaron Murray and Ian Murray. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a sister, Mabel Lennon.     Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Oct. 14, 2006, at the Jones Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, with the Rev. Wilma Wake officiating. Visitation will be private.
