Ruth Bryant, 80, Tallevast, died Sept. 11, 2003. She was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Tallevast. She owned Bryant's Grocery Store. She was a Methodist. Survivors include her husband, Arthur of Tallevast; a daughter, Mary L. Montgomery of Tallevast; sons Arthur L. Jr. and Gerald, both of Tallevast, and James of Bradenton; a brother, Robert Smith of Tallevast; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bryant Chapel C.M.E. Church, Tallevast. The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Manasota Memorial Park, Bradenton. Riggins and Daughter Funeral Home, Bradenton, is in charge.
