Dr. Joe Allen will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church after the funeral service in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church. Interment will be private.On June 18, 2012, at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, GA, Ruth Bryant went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Bryant lived a holy, Christian life, always wanting everyone to know her Lord. Born October 21, 1920, to late Durward and Lula Mae Barineau. On October 1, 1937, she married Troy Bryant, who proceeded her in death in 1986.Always an inspiration to all who knew her, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Miss Ruth was an active member of the Cairo First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and served on various committees, with her favorite being the Davis Fund. She was a charter member of the Cairo Pilot Club, serving as President and other capacities.A faithful active member of the Cairo Woman's Club, she chaired many duties. She was also on the Board of the Grady County Department of Family and Children Services. Proceeding her in death are: her parents, Durward and Lula Mae Barineau; her husband, Troy Bryant; a daughter, Jackie B. Stoutamire; a brother, David LaQue Barineau; her sisters, Doris B. Cloud and Delphine B. Huff.Survivors include: daughters, Faith B. Jones (Roy), of Cairo, GA and Mary Ann B. McKnight (Mac) of Tallahassee, FL; one sister, Sue B. Patat of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Carla Jones Darden (Tim) of Albany, GA, Max Jones (Nishkama) of Dovedale, New Zealand, Hamp Stoutamire (Tania) and Chris Stoutamire (Lisa) of Tallahassee, FL, Meredith McKnight of Athens, GA, Joey McKnight (Jeni) of, Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchildren, Patrick Miller and Alec Miller, both of Albany, GA, Cole Miller of Fort Collins, CO, Grace Darden of Albany, GA, Amaru Jones of Dovedale, New Zealand, Jackson McKnight, Bryant McKnight, Josie McKnight, all of Tallahassee, FL and Sterling Stoutamire, Tallahassee, FL.
