ObituaryRUTH ANN PIERCEITHACA - Ruth Ann Pierce, 74, of Ithaca, died Thursday, December 22, 2005, at Cayuga Medical Center. Born September 27, 1931 in Ithaca, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Gladys Dearden Baron and wife of the late Robert N. Pierce who died April 11, 2002.Ruth lived in Ithaca all her life. She attended Rochester Business Institute and had worked in local medical offices and was later employed by JC Penney in the Pyramid Mall. Her family and friends will miss her and the joy and happiness she brought to their lives.Ruth is survived by her children, Lori (Michael) Carr of Ithaca, Linda Pierce of Norwich, VT, David (Susan) Pierce of Danbury, CT; grandchildren, Lauren Carr, Kevin Carr and Matthew Pierce.A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, at the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca. Friends are invited to call from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tompkins County Public Library.
