BEARD, RUTH ANN, "HACK," 57, of Burtonsville, MD, passed away Monday, May 9, 2005, due to a massive stroke. She was an inspirational teacher and the beloved wife of Alfred Butch Beard Jr.; mother of Alfred Beard III, Cory Beard, Samantha Beard and Ian Beard; and grandmother to Farrell Annasong Beard. She is also survived by her mother, Ruth Weathers, and her brother, Jessie Hackett. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 1008 S. 15th St., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at A.D. Porter & Sons, 1300 W. Chestnut St.
