She was the daughter of the late John Wilson and Eugenia Sams Anderson. Ruth was preceded in death by her entire immediate family. Ruth was a dietitian for Stouffer's Inc. for 33 years, retiring in 1975. Ruth returned to Mars Hill where she took care of her sisters and became involved in many community and church projects.Survivors include many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 9, 2013 at Mars Hill Baptist Church, where Ruth was a lifelong member. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery for the family at 10:00 AM Monday, September 9, 2013.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mars Hill Public Library Building Fund at PO Box 28, Mars Hill, NC, 28754 or to the general fund of Mars Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 218, Mars Hill, NC 28754.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.blueridgefuneralservice.org
