Ruth A. Anderson of NicholsRuth A. Anderson, 79, of W. River Rd., and formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2002 following a period of declining health. Ruth was born on April 27, 1923 in Oil City, Pa., a daughter of the late Oscar and Laura (Adams) Johnson. Ruth enjoyed bowling, sewing, and had a great love for cats. Ruth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Kathleen Anderson, Nichols, Craig and Janet Anderson, Garland, Tex.; her sisters-in-law, Hazel Anderson and Dorothy Anderson; her grandchildren, who she thought so much of, Brian, Laura, and Gary. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Anderson on February 14, 1974; her brother, Elmer Johnson; and a grandson, Mickey Anderson. Funeral services and a celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 4 p.m. at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols, with her Pastor and friend, Rev. Val M. Rommel, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Lakeview Cemetery, Jamestown. A period of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Tuesday, May 28 from 2 until the time of service at 4 p.m. at the chapel.
