MEIER Rudolph Charles, age 89, of Wayne, formerly of Woodland Park, passed away March 18th. He proudly served the United States as a member of the US Army during World War II and was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps where he studied aeronautics. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3835 in Little Falls. He was a parishioner and an usher at Holy Angels Church in Little Falls and was also a parishioner at St. John's Church in Bergenfield. He was the devoted husband of the late Mildred (nee Draves), the beloved father to the late Karen J. Meier and the late Richard R. Meier. He was also predeceased by his brother Jacob E. Meier and his sister Ida Stansfield. He is the dear uncle to Doris Bauer and Robert R. Meier. Visiting will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held Monday at 9 AM at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ridgefield Cemetery in Ridgefield, NJ. Memorial donations in his name may be sent to Best Friends Animal Society or CUMAC-ECHO.
