Florence<!--Florence-->Funeral for Ruby Williams Smith, 95, former resident of Moulton, will be Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home, Moulton, with Dr. David McKelvey officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at 11 p.m. at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Home in Florence. She was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Franklin County to Mary and Walter Williams. She was the widow of the late Franklin Smith, former Sheriff of Lawrence County. She was a member of Moulton Baptist Church. She had served as a volunteer missionary with "Laymen Unlimited" helping build churches in Teguciagalpa, Honduras, and the town of China, Mexico. She is survived by one son, Jack D. (Martha) Smith of Auburn, and Patsy S. (Wyckoff) Terry of Moulton; one sister, Alyene (Leo) Creel of Huntsville; three grandchildren, Mike (Lynn) Smith,Todd Terry and Suzanne (Jim) Cunningham; and four great-grandchildren. She ispreceded in death by herhusband, Franklin Smith;two sisters, Orbon Birdyshaw and Inelda McClain;and two brothers, Lowell and Luther Williams. Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Todd Terry, Jim Cunningham, Joe Creel, Doug Birdyshaw and Donald Sibley.
