Ruby Scott, 84, Columbia, Mo., formerly of Springfield, was born September 8, 1920, in Competition, Mo., and passed away at 5:55 p.m. August 30, 2005, in Ashland Healthcare. She managed a dry cleaning business in Springfield for over 20 years. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin parents, Clyde and Cordelia Dowden three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her son and his wife, Michael and Alana of Columbia, Mo. three grandchildren, Drew, Mason, and Sloane nieces, Marie Burch and Linda Jo Webb, both of Springfield nephew, Jimmy Webb, Jefferson City and two greatnieces, Lisa Burch and Debbie Cook. Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, September 2 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 3 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
